Five Examples of Creativity in Design

Bridge below the Water’s Surface

This is a truly unusual variation of one of the oldest mechanisms known to mankind.  Its uniqueness is something that draws people to it simply for the sake of experiencing it.

Constrained Ball – for drawing straight lines

A modern take on a humble ruler. This device has the potential to change the way designers do things in a positive and probably permanent way.

Toilet Paper Roll Art

This is obviously art as opposed to a product so creativity is naturally implied. However the materials used, the scale of the piece, and the clever use of light make it exceptional as opposed to other traditional forms of artwork.

Calabarte Artistic Lamps

This psychedelic variation of a lamp is more for novelty than practicality. Although what it has to offer is a one-of-a-kind service that supersedes regular lighting fixtures.

Hanging Tent

Whether for functional purposes or simply for the thrilling variation of a familiar product, this hanging tent offers an experience all its own that hasn't ever been made available .

 Common Points

Each product or piece of art listed above isn’t a brand new idea but rather an innovation on something that already exists. The reason for the innovation is to either make something work better than it did previously or to add novelty to something that might otherwise be viewed as tired and mundane.
